A three-wheel electric vehicles assembled by Alternet Systems (ALYI) hit the road in Ethiopia. The company said the vehicles are now in service as taxis and delivery vehicles in Ethiopia.
ALYI does not directly involve in production but the assembly has been done in collaboration with a manufacturer based on its Electric Vehicle (EV) Ecosystem programme, an initative targeted at replacing combustion engine motorcycles with electric motorcycles.
The company, in its statment released this week, said it is on track to reach two million dollars revenue by year-end from the rollout of its first electric vehicles in Ethiopia.
Its management has also a plan to secure 10 million dollars in revenues by 2022.
