Dashen Bank grosses a profit of 2.4 billion Br during the last fiscal year, its management announced while releasing the latest audit report of the Bank. It is 33 percent higher than the figure registered in 2019/20.
The management of the Bank attributed the profits upsurge with the increase in deposit and loans. Dashen collected 21.1 billion Br in deposit last financial year, bringing the total to 74.6 billion Br.
Increase in deposits has also boosted the pool of resources the Bank has and enabled it provide more loans to its customers during the reporting period.
Dashen's number of customers has reached three million by the end of last year. Out of this, 2.3 million use its flagship mobile banking platform, Amole.
An increase in number of customers means more income for Dashen. The Bank has collected an income of 10.3 billion Br, while its expenses reached 7.8 billion Br.
Despite registering a remarkable performance in most all parameters, Dashen’s profit still lower than its peer, Awash, which has made six billion Br in profit last fiscal year.
