Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed formed a new cabinet, appointing 22 ministers to lead the executive branch of his administration.
Three of the cabinet members are from opposition parties. Berhanu Nega, the leader of the opposition Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (EZEMA), has been appointed as a Minister of Education.
Belete Molla, President of National Movement of Amhara (NAMA), becomes Minister of Innovation & Technology.
Kejela Merdessa, a senior executive of Oromia Liberation Front (OLF), has been assigned as Minister of Culture & Sport.
