Defense, aviation exports of Turkey to Ethiopia reaches 51 million dollars in the first three months of this year, upped by 203,000 dollars compared to the same period last year, a report by Turkish Exports Assembly shows.
Citing four sources, Reuters today reported armed drones are among defense items exported by Turkey to Ethiopia, which is currently in the midst of civil war, displacing over 2.5 million citizens while leaving six million people in need of urgent assistance.
Egypt, which is in odd terms with Ethiopia because of the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), has already expressed its concern against the drone shipment, though the two countries did not make the agreement official.
