Taxi hailing service providers are facing a business slowdown due to a surge in price of fuel, a situation which forced them to review fare.
Cabs operating under taxi hailing companies were charging 60 birr an initial price, on top of 10 birr per kilometre.
However, with an increase in cost of fuel by more than 50 percent in the last four months, the initial ride fare rose to 95 birr, while the cost per kilometre is over 12 birr.
